THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE ALLERDALE AREA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. 2) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable MMB to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles and pedestrians) from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule. Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.

Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order. Cumbria Highways will ensure that local residents and the general public are informed of which roads are to be closed and when, nearer the time.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Plans showing the locations and details of the alternative routes are available for public inspection at the offices of Cumbria Highways, Any queries to Cumbria Highways, Joseph Noble Road, Lillyhall, Workington, CAN 4JH (0300 303 2992) quoting reference specified in the schedules. The Order will come into operation on 12 November 2018 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for approx 3 months.

SCHEDULE EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. B5307 Abbeytown - approx. duration I week (Refi GII0/I8/A43I)



From a point approx. 275m south west of its junction with the C2050, extending in a south westerly direction for approx 50m. Alternative route for vehicles via the unrestricted sections of the B5307, B5302 (Waverbridge), A596 (Thursby), A595 and the A689 (Carlisle).

2. C2050 Ellercar Bridge near Abbeytown - approx duration I week(Ref:GI I0/I8/A432)



From a point approx 680m north east of its junction with the C2050, extending in a north easterly direction for approx 270m. Alternative route for vehicles via the unrestricted sections of the C2050.B5307 (Abbeytown).

3. C205I Lessonhall - approx. duration I week (Ref: GII0/I8/A433)



From a point approx 30m either side of the centreline of the bridge.

Alternative route for vehicles via the unrestricted sections of the C2050 (Lessonhall), B5302 (Waverbridge) and A596 and C2040.

4. C2040 Standingstone, Wigton - approx. duration I week (Ref: GII0/I8/A434)

From a point approx 407m north east of its junction with the A596, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 335m.

Alternative route for vehicles via the unrestricted sections of the C2040, C205I, C2050 (Lessonhall), B5302 (Waverbridge) and A596.
