Carlisle, Minor Amendment of Traffic Regulations to various roads

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA
(VARIOUS ROADS, CARLISLE URBAN AND RURAL AREA)
(CONSOLIDATION AND MINOR AMENDMENT OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) (ORDER 2001) VARIATION (NO. 62) ORDER 2022


1. Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that on 10 May 2022 it made the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 19, 32, 3 5, 35A, 38, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The Order will come into operation on 16 May 2022 and its effect will be to: -
(a) Introduce "No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions on parts of the following roads in Carlisle: -
Warwick Square West, Scalegate Road, Ridley Road, Wingate Road, Geltsdale Avenue,Talkin Close, Hespek Raise, Farlam Drive, Gilsland Road, , Orton Road and Etterby Road;
(b) Introduce "No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions on parts of Carlisle Road, Townfoot Industrial Estate and Craw Hall, Brampton;
(c) Introduce "No Loading/Unloading At Any Time" restrictions on parts of Etterby Road, Carlisle;
(d) Introduce a "Prohibition of Motor Vehicles, Except for Access" restriction on the back lanes of Beck Lane and Chandlers Lane, Carlisle. Exemptions in the Order will allow access for emergency services, post office vehicles and contractors, undertakers and the conveyance of persons, goods or merchandise to or from any land or premises situated on or adjacent to those lengths of road.

3. 4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 10 May 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
