Subject Matter The Publication Draft is the final draft of the Copeland Local Plan. This contains the Local Plan Vision and Objectives to 2038, the scale of likely growth, planning policies (strategic and development management Polices), land allocations and areas of protection that will guide future development in the borough and assist with making planning decisions.

Consultation period: From Monday 10th January 2022 until 4.30pm on Friday 18th March 2022. (This has been extended following the completion of some evidence base reports to give everyone 6 weeks to consider the Plan and all of its supporting evidence base.)

The documents will be available to view by pre-arranged appointment as opening times and Covid procedures allow, in Copeland Borough Council offices, Market Hall, Market Place, Whitehaven, CA28 7JG. Please contact a member of the Customer Services Team on 01946 598300 and select Option 5 to arrange an appointment
