THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C2069 STAIN BURN ROAD, STAIN BURN, WORKINGTON) [TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Genesis Homes Ltd to carry out construction works ("the Works), the Count/ Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour along that section of the C2069 Stainburn Road, Stainburn, Workington from a point approx. 240m north east of its junction with Moor Road extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 650m. N.B. The 40 miles per hour speed restriction will operate where work is ongoing but the contractor's operatives and plant are not on site. It is required to protect road users passing through restricted width traffic lanes.
No speed limit imposed by this Order will apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

, quoting the reference ALL2I -177. The Order will come into operation on 19 April 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 18 months and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
