AN up-and-coming British singer-songwriter will be playing an intimate show in the Lake District this month.
London-based solo artist Hannah White, whose music has been featured on BBC Radio 2, plays an intimate show at Swinside Inn, near Keswick, on Saturday January 20.
Lauded by FATEA and Acoustic Magazine, and labelled "The Amy Winehouse of UK Americana" by Country People Magazine, she has also performed live for BBC Radio London.
Hannah released her latest single, In It For Love, at the start of December, giving a taste of her forthcoming full-length album, Elephant Eye - due for release in February.
Her music is influenced by country, blues, folk, pop and soul but remains distinctly her own.
With a voice that can switch from a sweet Nashville croon to a bluesy holler, her songs draw from a rich well of life experiences and have been heard on the national airwaves, as well as major regional UK radio shows and on international TV several times on the Keep It Country show.
Hannah has wowed audiences at shows with Grammy Award-winning Tim O’Brien, Thea Gilmore, Laurence Fox, Judie Tzuke and Ben Haenow, headlined at a sold-out Union Chapel in London, performed for Whispering Bob Harris, performed at major festivals and picked up press plaudits from R2 Magazine, Blues Matters and many more.
The show at Swinside Inn, in the Newlands Valley, on Saturday January 20 gets under way at 8pm, and entrance is free.
