MILLOM won the Furness and Westmorland Challenge Cup for the first time when they beat Upper Eden 27-10 after extra-time.
They are actually making a habit of going the distance as they had beaten Whitehaven 23-12 three days earlier in the semi-final of the Cumbria Plate.
They were due to take on Netherhall at Egremont last night in the final.
Against Upper Eden at Pennine Park, Kirkby Stephen they came from 10-0 behind at half-time to draw level in the second-half.
Then, in the extra-time period, pulled away impressively to win 27-10 and collect the trophy for the first time. They had previously lost twice in the final to Upper Eden.
Peter Moore scored two tries for Millom while Joe Gleghorn and Jamie Kershaw also crossed. Danny Redhead converted two and also added a penalty.
In the Plate last Wednesday at the Playground, the match had to go into extra-time after the sides had finished locked together at 12-12.
The South Cumbrians were quickest out of the blocks and scored a converted try after only five minutes.
Stephen McConnell reduced the arrears with a penalty but Millom increased their lead before the break with an unconverted try.
Whitehaven improved in the second half and managed to get level via three McConnell penalties.
But it was Millom who came strongest in the extra-time period, scoring a drop goal, unconverted try and penalty to put themselves clear.
