Clean sweep for service area’s young rugby stars

COPELAND & Eden Service Area enjoyed a clean sweep of victories against Barrow & South Lakes in their latest round of matches.
The Under-12s, playing at Cumbria Sports Academy, secured a 28-8 victory, with tries coming from Macauley Woodburn, Callum Birdsall, Luke Davidson, Sam Farrar, Callum Farrer, Ben Brookes, and goals being added by Jordan Moyes and Davidson.
Two tries from Rory Henderson helped the Under-13s to a narrow 24-18 victory. Other tries for Copeland & Eden came from Jamie Doran, Jamie Milburn, Travis Scott and Jamie Philips.
The Under-14s and Under-15s played their games at Marsh Hornets. Scott Kiggins, Martin O’Neil, Jack Stainton, Reece O’Neil and Andrew Smith all touched down in the Under-14s’ 28-12 win, along with three Lewis Beckwith goals and another from Jordan Fisher.
And two tries apiece from Jarrad Stewart and Jonathan Hill Eads helped the Under-15s to a 36-18 victory. Callan McGready and James McDonald, who also added six goals, were the other try scorers.
On Saturday, the Under-12s and Under-13s play Allerdale & Carlisle at Cumbria Sports Academy and the Under-14s and Under-15s play the same opposition at Glasson Rangers.
