Three Rs help their side to League Cup

THE Three Rs helped Windscale to League Cup glory against Whitehaven Miners.
Goals from Robert Carr, Ray Sempill and Ryan McCourt gave Windscale the 3-0 victory and the cup.
The opening goal came after half an hour when Carr controlled a Scott McCrea cross and firmly planted a shot past the Miners keeper.
And minutes later, centre back Sempill headed in a corner to double Windscale’s lead.
After the break, Ryan McCourt get his head on a Luke O’Connor cross to complete the scoring.
But the final wasn’t all one-way traffic. Dion Barnes and Glenn Riley needed to be solid in defence for the winners, while goalkeeper Lee Jolly was forced to pull off a number of saves.
