U10 girls wave the Whitehaven flag

WHITEHAVEN Amateurs under 10 girls attended the FA Festival of football.

The recently formed girls section sent two under 10 teams to take part in the festival at Penrith. This was the first time the girls have played against other teams and enjoyed matches against Allonby, Cockermouth, Carlisle and Barrow.
Next season the girls section of WAFC is hoping to join the West Cumbria Youth League and play in the local girls Futsal competitions.
Training is held girls in school year five, six and seven on Friday 5pm to 6pm at the WAFC ground if you are interested in finding out more details please call 07545132167
