Egremont lend a hand

ELLENBOROUGH have put a very good side together and didn’t need any assistance off Egremont but Egremont gave them plenty.
Shoddy handling and losing possession at vital times was enough for Ellenborough to capitalise on at every opportunity. Consequently 18points were on the board in 18mins before Egremont drew breath.
First scrum down, Egremont had feed and were shoved off the ball with ease and from base of scrum ball was worked back for Fearon to go over with conversion for Moore, within a couple of minutes McCartney outstripped defence going under sticks for Moore to convert.
Some good defence from both sides followed before the ball was worked for the Pacey Ritson to go under sticks for Moore to convert it was getting a point a minute for Ellenborough before Egremont started to come more into the game with Blinco getting possession took ball and chipped over defence to collect and score in corner.
Ten minutes of hard defence from both sides ensued before the ball was worked out wide for Ellenborough’s De Graf to run touch line to come inside to have the opportunity score under sticks but dropped ball going to touch down, giving half time score 18-4 for Ellenboro.
Second half ball was kicked straight to Ritson who collected on his own line and went full length to score a very good try, Next try was the powerful Carr of Egremont taking four players over line to score with Jordan Moyle’s converting, Ellenborough were too strong for Egremont with Moore, Todd, and Fearon scoring good try’s with two conversions for Moore, giving Ellenborough a well deserved victory.
It was another very good refereeing display from Ref Robinson.
