Celtic become Cumbria champs
CLEATOR Moor Celtic’s under-12 side were crowned county cup champions following a 2-1 win over Abbeytown.CELTIC B were first out of the blocks when Josh Wise had a one-on-one with the Bransty keeper Curtis Hails, who was beaten by a fierce strike. THIS match should have been played at Cleator but the pitch was waterlogged, so by agreement it was played at the Ranch. Logan Smith opened the scoring for Red Star with a great long range strike before Daniel Jones added two more. AN eagerly awaited clash between the two top teams produced, unfortunately for Thunder, a perfect performance from Celtic.U9 - St Bees 0, Seaton Utd 3; St Bees 5, Workington Jnrs 2.
