WHITEHAVEN RL last night signed former Workington Town star Tane Manihare.
The Kiwi was a free agent, having played rugby union more recently with Wigton.
Manihare trained last night (Thursday) and has been signed until the end of the season.
Haven director Mike Graham said: "Tane is coming to provide us with much needed cover in the backs and at 32 he is still incredibly fit.
"He also has great experience having played for Widnes and Barrow.
Ged Stokes was keen to bring him in and we back our head coach."
Manihare will make his Haven debut for the Academy side on Saturday and after running the rule over him coach Stokes will decide whether or not to include Tane in the first team squad for Monday's bank holiday clash at home against big rivals Leigh.
