Longtown too good for Celtic

ONLY two Tesco Cumberland football matches went ahead on Saturday – eight being called off because of weather/pitch problems.
Defending champions Netherhall closed the gap on premiership leaders Windscale to just two points.
Keith Anderson hit four goals as Netherhall beat Mirehouse 6-1, for whom Alan Simm was on target.
Ross Thomson and Andrew Lowes completed the scoring for Netherhall.
The only other match was also in the Premiership, Longtown picking up three away points at Cleator Moor Celtic.
Goals from Chris Kelleher, Josh Carruthers and Joe Boguszinski took Longtown to a 3-1 win. Glyn Edwards scored for Celtic.
There are no fixtures this Saturday. The next matches are scheduled for December 29 and are –
Premier: Aspatria v Carlisle City, Mirehouse v Cleator Moor Celtic, Warwick Wanderers v Longtown.
Division one: Parton v Frizington, St Bees v St Bees Res, Whitehaven Miners v Hensingham, Wigton Athletic v Cockermouth.
