The Cumberland Open Championship will be held on Saturday, March 25, with all seven Comets riders racing against nine guests.
Club owner Laura Morgan said: “We want to start the season off with a big meeting and we thought this year we would have an individual before the serious business and our first round Knockout Cup match takes place.
“We are hoping to attract some really good riders to compete alongside our new one to seven but believe we already have potential winners in our own side.”
Season tickets will be valid for the meeting, with riders to be announced over the coming weeks.
A special sponsorship package has been put together, with £100 getting sponsors a race jacket, two tickets and a photo with their rider.

Edinburgh’s Sam Masters won the round, winning four of his five heats before beating Max Fricke in the final.
The third round was held at Undera on Wednesday, with Proctor grabbing second place and two thirds for five points while Campton got a third and two seconds for five points.
Justin Sedgmen clinched the round, winning all but one of his races.
The final round is due to be held at Kurri Kurri tomorrow.
