Five experienced rugby league players are set to be part of the first-ever Masters festival in France next month.

Frizington's George Hunton, Arlecdon duo Luke Naylor and Graeme Gilpin, plus St Bees' Richard Postlethwaite and Workington's Gary Stewardson will all make the trip across the channel.

The players will be representing a Masters Select side that will head out on Friday, June 3 and returning on Monday, June 6.

George Hunton said: "This is the first time there has ever been a big tournament in France and we are all looking forward to the trip."

They will play two games, one in Toulouse on the Saturday, just ahead of the Toulouse v Doncaster game in Championship One.

After that they will head to Carcassonne on Sunday for a second game before a white water rafting experience.

The trip is organised by the Masters Rugby League Group over 35s.
