SEVEN YEARS FOR CRACK DEALERS

TWO dealers who supplied Barrow’s crack and heroin market have each been jailed for seven years.
When arrested the duo had more than £800-worth of Class A drugs, £1,900 cash and a mobile phone with 7,800 calls registered over a 10-week period.
This week Asghaar Ali Sultan, 39, of Morley Avenue, Fallowfield, Manchester, admitted conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
He also pleaded guilty to possession after he was caught with a plastic Kinder egg, containing a quarter of an ounce of heroin hidden about his person.
His accomplice Carl Trevor Cooper, 30, of the same address, also admitted conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
The dealers were due to stand trial at Lancaster Crown Court on Tuesday but changed their plea to guilty just before proceedings started.
Barrow drug squad officer Detective Constable Nigel Burns explained how the duo travelled to Furness and stayed with what he described as “vulnerable females” at Barrow addresses.
The main one was on Mill Lane, Walney.
