Dan Rooney out of Workington Town trip to North Wales

Workington Town will be without Daniel Rooney for tomorrow’s trip to North Wales (2.30pm).
The young centre suffered a calf injury in last weekend’s derby win over Whitehaven and will sit out the trip to Wrexham.
Clive Griffiths’ side suffered their heaviest defeat of the season at Derwent Park earlier this season though have since picked up their form.
Town coach Gary Charlton said: “Clive’s done a great job down there. They’ve brought some good players in, they’ve strengthened over the last few weeks and we know it’ll be a tough game.
“However, if we play to the level we have been doing, hopefully that will be enough to get us the points.”
Iwan Brown is ruled out for the Welsh and Owain Griffiths is also doubtful. A fractured thumb means Billy Sheen is definitely missing as Griffiths’ men attempt to bounce back from last week’s 40-24 defeat at Barrow.
Griffiths said: “We’re just wounded. It wasn’t the defeat; it was the manner of the defeat. We could have won the game, but we ended up getting nothing out of it.
“We made some poor decisions and errors, and if we take those out of the equation we’ll cause a few shocks before the end of the season.
“The players have been training well this week and they’re looking forward to the game. They want to bounce back and they’ve got a lot of belief in themselves.”
