ENTREPRENEUR Duncan Bannatyne is selling the luxury Cumbrian lodge which has been his holiday home for the past three years.

The high-profile businessman, best known for his appearances on Dragon's Den, will now concentrate on his Portuguese portfolio.

The lodge is situated in Fallbarrow Park, on the shores of Lake Windermere, an area he first became aware of years ago while sailing and spotting what was then a caravan park.

When the original caravan site was transformed into Fallbarrow Park, multi-millionaire Bannatyne, 67, snapped up one of the most prestigious homes on the development and has since spent many family holidays there with his children and grandchildren.

Lakeside 20 was put on the market last week and is being handled by Cumbrian Properties. Director David Hogarth revealed it was already receiving lots of interest.

"This is one of the very few lodges in Fallbarrow Park with three bedrooms," he said. "As well as having a lakeside position, it also has superb views over Lake Windermere to the fells towering above and the nearby marina. We're expecting lots of interest."

The lodge has been fitted out to a high specification, and has double doors from the dining room onto a decking area with view of the lake.
