Randline is a extended detached bungalow which has been transformed by owners James and Anne Price in their 17 years there into a comfortable and stylish homes.

"The children had left home and we sold the business we had," said Anne. "We'd had a fish and chip shop in Cleator Moor and then owned pubs - the Brook Inn at Cleator and the Wheatsheaf at Cleator Moor.

"It was just the two of us. We've done a lot to the house which was probably built around 45 or 50 years ago and had been a little bit unloved.

"Now it's got a newish kitchen and a shower room, the boiler was new last year and as we'd previously had the sitting room extended we’ve had a new roof installed right through.

"Its name is unusual. The previous owner bred Cocker Spaniels and his first name was Randal. I think he called the house after his line of dogs but we don’t really know."

Randline is ideal for retirement or for a couple looking to downsize. It has no chain and deceptively spacious accommodation with wrap-around gardens and lots of parking.

The entrance hallway is floored in quality Karndean and has access to the loft room which is an extremely useful large space, fully boarded and with two Velux roof lights and a pitched ceiling. As well as storage use, the loft has the potential to be converted to an additional bedroom with en-suite facilities.

"We like sitting in the conservatory but we mainly use the sitting room which we've extended into the garden as the house is on such a big plot," Anne said. "I like to sit there because it’s on the front and I can watch people pass by."

This reception room is now more than 24ft long and has triple-aspect windows. It is warmed by a gas fire in a marble fireplace and has French doors into the conservatory.

The dining kitchen is another large room with a beamed ceiling and striking high-gloss units. A door leads out to the back garden.

Randline has two double bedrooms, one at the front and the other at the rear and both with dado rails. The shower room has a recently fitted white three-piece suite and a corner shower cubicle.

Anne said: "The gardens are low-maintenance and we’ve shilled a large area. We've put in a lot of mature shrubs and a greenhouse and there was a veg plot but we haven’t managed to do it this year.

"It's secluded at the back with trees and lots of space and over the road is a green area."

The large driveway at the front of Randline has off-road parking for several cars and leads to the single detached garage. The well-orientated gardens wrap around the bungalow with the large shilled garden to the front, extending to the sides and rear of the property. At the back, the spacious garden has a mixture of paving, with decked patio area.

"We're in a great position on the outskirts of Cleator Moor town centre, on the bus route and minutes from the shops and pub," Anne said. "It’s very handy but we're now looking forward to a new place and a new challenge."
