You’ll be missed, Dorothy...

SIR – The news that Dorothy Taylor is retiring takes my mind back to the 1950s and Dorothy working at Clayton’s, Tangier Street.
Dorothy Taylor: She’s stepping down from her Vanity Fayre shop in Whitehaven
I was married in July 1956, and Dorothy sold me a bar of Chanel soap, which cost half a crown. My mam thought I was mad to pay so much.
Dorothy must have raised thousands of pounds over the years, for all charities.
Dorothy, you will be missed. Go and have a wonderful retirement.
