Keep this caring business going
Last updated 16:01, Wednesday, 04 June 2008
SIR – On hearing that the Lingla Centre is about to close in June, please can someone out there help in any way to keep this caring business open?
SQUARE MEAL: One of the meals delivered to some of the local residents from the Lingla Centre
I know that it’s making no profits because the cost for a two-course lunch is only £3.50 which includes fresh meat and fresh vegetables daily.
It delivers meals to lots of pensioners and also is very popular with people visiting the Centre for lunch.
My sisters and I go once, or sometimes twice, a week. It would be a shame to lose this local caring business due to lack of funds.
