HOW THEY MET: At the Pagoda nightclub in Carlisle 15 years ago.
PROPOSAL: Simon proposed with a diamond platinum ring on Nicola’s 37th birthday.
VENUE: St Cuthbert’s Church, Carlisle.
THEME: Cream, pink and green and country garden.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A white organza Eddy K dress scattered with crystals on the bodice and straps with detailed pleated train from Country Dreams Bridal, Carlisle and tiara from Fiona Habbick, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: Paul Thompson was best man and ushers were Mike O’Roarty, Mark Phillips and Mark Brown. They wore navy Prince Edward suits with silver waistcoats and sage green cravats, from Tom Little, Maryport.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s sister Gillian Carr, Marcie Bowman-Scott and Lisa Brown were bridesmaids and wore sage green dresses from Coast.
The bride and groom’s daughters Madelaine and Cameron Oliphant were flower girls and wore cream dresses with green flower detail from BHS.
FLOWERS: A hand-tied bouquet of cream and pink roses and hydrangea with diamante from Flowertime, Carlisle.
TRANSPORT: A silver Bentley and executive coach from Stacey’s Coaches, Carlisle.
RECEPTION: The Roundthorn Country House Hotel, Penrith for a Pimms reception for 120 guests followed by a three-course wedding breakfast and a buffet in the evening for 180 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: Birdcages filled with flowers and butterflies from Flowertime, Carlisle and tall vases with cream and green flowers provided by the venue.
FAVOURS: Mini chocolates.
CAKE: A three-tier cake of fruit, chocolate and sponge covered in delicate flowers with fresh green flowers on top, by Gillian Marr, Mealsgate.
FIRST DANCE: Miracle, Foo Fighters.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco by Keith Fisher, Sound to Light Disco.
HONEYMOON: Paris.
