A WHITEHAVEN teenager has completed the C2C in just three days, raising cash for charity.
Fourteen-year-old Callum Fowler was joined on the bike ride by grandad Bryan Hyslop and 11-year-old Lloyd O’Neil. The group was also joined by Bryan’s brother, Ian Hyslop, who supported them in the van.
Callum was born four months premature weighing 1lb 9oz. He decided to take part in the ride raising £750 for the charity Bliss, which supports premature and sick babies. He said: “I found it a challenge but we all enjoyed it.’’
His mum, Kerry Hyslop, said: “Being born premature inspired Callum to want to give something back. I was at his bedside for months after he was born and it was tough.
“It is a miracle he is now such a strapping, healthy lad.
“We are so proud of them all. It was such a big achievement.’’
