Viking ship ahoy!

A HORDE of young Vikings raided a Millom primary school.
As part of their history lesson, Year 3 children at St James’ Catholic Primary School spent a day building a Viking long ship in their school hall.
From the wooden frame to the shields and sails, the youngsters brought the historic sailing vessel to life.
Charlie Lupton, of Make Your Own History, based in Worcestershire, helped the pupils create the ship.
He said: “I go to schools up and down the country to try and bring history to life. The children took part in various activities relating to the ship.
“The day is also about teamwork and co-operation, giving the children something concrete, a bit of a wow factor to start the topic off.
“I love coming to this school, they’re just such lovely, friendly children.”
