Two fell roads closed due to weather

EMERGENCY road closures have been placed on Cold Fell and Corney Fell roads.
The predicted icy weather has forced the highways authority to announce the closures, with immediate effect. It can last for up to 21 days.
All traffic is banned on:
- Cold Fell, from its junction at the C4017 to its junction with the A595, a distance of approximately 10km
- Corney Fell, from its junction with the A595 north of Waberthwaite in a south easterly direction to its junction of the U4065 Broadgate, a distance of approximately 9.5km
