Ten fined for no TV licences

TEN Copeland residents were charged with using a television without a licence. They were sentenced by magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse.
They were:
Susan Boyd, 27, of Bowness Road, Whitehaven, who had her case proved in absence and was fined £145 with £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs;
Megan Connor, 22, of Aldby Place, Cleator Moor, proved in absence, fined £100, £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.
Margaret Cunningham, 28, of Valley View Road, proved in absence, fined £145, £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs;
Mark Duncan, 36, of Greenmoor Road, Egremont, who admitted the charge, fined £50, £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.
Marjorie Hall, 54, of St Paul’s Avenue, Frizington, denied charge but was proved in absence, fined £50, £15 victim surcharge and £140 costs;
Luke Hoskin, 23, of Wastwater Road, Whitehaven, guilty, fined £145, £15 victim support and costs £60;
Pauline Mattinson, 47, Wasdale Close, Whitehaven, guilty, fined £145, £15 victim support and £60 costs.
David Preece, 36, of Cambridge Road, guilty, fined £50, £15 victim support and £60 costs;
Edward Pullin, 41, of Latrigg Road, Whitehaven, guilty, £50, £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs;
and Claire Story, 33, of Brisco Mount, Egremont, guilty, fined £100, £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.
