Summer holiday fun for all

A HOST of activities is taking place for young people in Egremont this summer.
There will be a variety of sports, arts and music events being held at venues across the town.
The Egremont Youth Project club is open every Tuesday from 6.30pm until 8.30pm and Saturdays between 4.30pm and 8.30pm in the Methodist Hall.
A special Soundwave ‘mix and produce your own disc’ session takes place on Saturday between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. It is open to youngsters over the age of 13. Further workshops are taking place on August 7 and 14.
A number of trips and activities have been planned over the summer, including a visit to Scotland’s biggest indoor skate park, Unit 23.
Young Cumbria is holding youth sessions at Thornhill on Tuesdays between 6pm and 8pm and at Open Gates Family Centre, Orgill, on Thursdays between 6pm and 8pm.
There will be numerous sports and indoor activities taking place at Friday Night Project based at Egremont Rugby Union. Sessions are held between 5.30pm and 8.30pm and are set to include graffiti art and boxing.
Copeland Council is organising sporting events at the Rugby Union Club, including judo and archery with football camp between August 7 to 9. Multi-sports and activities take place between August 14 to 16. There will be a rugby camp between August 21 and 23 and a dance camp between August 28 and 30.
Egremont Swimming Pool has inflatable fun sessions from 11am until 12.30pm during the week and intensive swimming lesson sessions will take place each week in August.
