Singer Cory misses out on X-Factor final

LOCAL songbird Cory Spedding was disappointed on Saturday night not to make it into the final six girls left in the X-Factor contest. But she is now auditioning for The Voice and is also through to the semi-final of BBC’s Live & Unsigned 2012.
Nerves got the better of 21-year-old Cory who fluffed the first line of her audition song, Next To Me but unfortunately and unlike some, she didn’t get a second chance to try again.
Dad Alan Spedding: “We were thrilled Cory made it to the last 25 girls (under 25s category) but unfortunately at the boot camp in Liverpool she didn’t get chosen. It was a shame because she had had the most amazing audition in Newcastle Metro Arena, with a standing ovation from the crowd, four ‘Yes’ votes and some amazing comments from the judges. From 3,000 acts, only seven, including Cory, went through.’’
The Newcastle audience loved Cory’s performance of Skinny Love and so did the four judges. Gary Barlow said: “It’s a big yes from me.’’ Tulisa Contostavlos told Cory that if she had a CD out “I would go straight out of here today and buy it.’’ Louis Walsh also gave Cory a yes and Nicole Scherzinger said: “Cory, I would love a lazy Sunday at home just sitting with your CD on repeat all day.’’ But for whatever reason Cory’s dream audition wasn’t shown on TV.
When Cory arrived at boot camp she was among 211 other hopefuls and immediately, 100 of them were sent home, leaving just 25 in each of the four categories.
Then they all got a song to practise and Cory got the Emeli Sande number. She and the other two girls she was on stage with all got sent home.
“The sad part is, that’s the only bit they put on TV,’’ said Alan, “Never mind, onwards and upwards, there’s always next year.’’

It has to be said that after Cory's audition in Newcastle we were all left a little shocked as to how and why the powers that be at the x factor decided not to show her un believably amazing audition... the crowd and the judges were blown away by her version of skinny love... how ever she was in the last 25 girls out of thousands and with a voice such as hers it can only be said that they have missed out greatly "The X Factors loss will be somebody else's gain"

Honestly i don't know the lass and she probably did really well so good on here, but people she didn'win or get to the finals.
Why are we celebrating?
It was the same with Alan Wills at the olympics. We celebreate his return even though he went out early on.
Hopefully the paper will put this on. It's just an honest view
