Shout about China
Last updated at 12:11, Thursday, 12 April 2012
ARLECDON School pupils have been busy learning all about China for a project.
The youngsters took part in a play, Jade Emperor and Pearl Dragon, written and composed by the school’s music teacher, Christine Stevens.
Children in the early years and infant classes worked on it for several weeks as a literacy and music project, making props, practising lines and songs.
They also visited The Canton Chef at Cleator Moor for a buffet during the final week of their Chinese topic.
Meanwhile artist Helen Elvin attended the school to help brighten a shed as part of a scheme to develop its outdoor area.
