School leavers dress up and party

WHITEHAVEN School Sixth Form students have celebrated their leaving do in style.
A meal and disco were held at the Hunday Manor for around 70 students and staff, just before the half-term break.
Keith Finlinson, head of Post 16, said: “It was a chance for the students to take a well-earned night-off from their studies before the main examination period began.
“The three-course meal was followed by the presentation of awards by deputy head of Post 16 Gareth Bell and head teacher Lynette Norris.”
Following the presentation, a disco was held.
