Last updated 21:56, Thursday, 26 June 2008
THE Pentalk Archive is encouraging farmers to capture digitally the farming year to create a unique archive of photographs. We will feature the pictures here
Ploughing by John Barnes
This image was taken by John Barnes of Woodhouse Farm near Milnthorpe. It shows Tim Robinson ploughing his field near Ackenthwaite. The field had previously been sprayed and after ploughing he will be planting peas and grass whole crop.
The Pentalk Rural Archive project began in June 2007 to assemble a collection of digital images of rural life in Cumbria. The collection will eventually be made into an exhibition.
See www.pentalk.org for more pictures.
