The band will begin in Houston, Texas, in June before heading out on the 14-day tour including performances in Nevada and California.

Base player, Richard Gill, said: “Every member of the band is extremely excited but it’s also nerve-wracking to be heading on a tour of the States.

“The tour is not about profit but about raising the profile of the band.”

The tour also includes We Are Saviours, who recently supported McBusted, and The Fifth Fire, a Los Angeles-based alternative rock band currently performing shows across the east coast of the States.

As well as the live shows, the band will also be involved in acoustic sets, meet and greets, radio sessions, interviews and promotional events.

“It’s an unreal opportunity for the band to be able to do this,” added Richard. “We couldn’t be doing any better venues and hopefully it will be a big step for the band’s future, and this tour will lead us to going back again.”

Religion of Tomorrow will now release two singles this summer. The first of these, Can’t Have It All, is due imminently and will be accompanied by a professionally filmed music video.

The band will play one last gig in Whitehaven before they head out to the States on Friday, May 30 in the John Paul Jones pub. They will be supported by local band The Return.
