Red Arrows set to fly in once again

THE spectacular Red Arrows – one of the world’s premier aerobatic teams – are heading back to thrill the crowds at this year’s Whitehaven Festival.

The breathtaking sight of this star attraction will take to the skies on the Sunday afternoon of the festival (June 21-23).

On clinching the deal once again for the town, festival organiser, Gerard Richardson, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to bits for everyone who comes to the festival and the sponsors.

“They have become the iconic measure the festival is judged on as they are such a fantastic national asset.

“The displays they have put on in Whitehaven have been jaw-dropping and it is such a brilliant atmosphere and location.”

Concert tickets for Slade, The Sweet and From The Jam on the Saturday night and Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers (plus other stars to be announced) on Sunday afternoon are available from Richardson’s shop on Lowther Street or www.richardsonsofwhitehaven.co.uk – sold on behalf of Whitehaven Festival Company.

McFly on the Friday night is sold out.
