Quest for Ramsay relatives
Last updated at 13:31, Thursday, 01 November 2012
SIR – I have recently read your wonderful article on the Ramsay Brothers who operated the Phoenix Foundry in Whitehaven (“A Hive of Industry,” The Whitehaven News, September 20) and it gave me much more information than I could have ever found.
I am particularly interested in William Ramsay who was my great-grandfather. My grandfather Jim Ramsay is 93 now and very ill. He hasn’t seen his brother Alan for many years so I am trying to trace him for my grandfather. I am also keen to get more information on William and Thomas Ramsay and their families to pass on to him.
I would be grateful for any help your readers could give.
I live in Australia now but the rest of my family are in Bournemouth and London.
