Last updated at 11:51, Thursday, 31 May 2012
THIS year’s Whitehaven Jubilee Festival was given the royal seal of approval – from the Queen!
Gerard Richardson, festival organiser, changed the dates of this year’s event to fit in with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations to make it an even bigger and better event.
He has been sending updates of progress to Buckingham Palace with news of all the stars and attractions.
He was delighted to receive a personal message from Her Majesty to thank him and the volunteers for organising the event to help celebrate her Diamond Jubilee.
