Veterans’ Day tributes to our servicemen
A SPECIAL Veterans’ Day service held St James Church, Whitehaven on has paid tribute to our servicemen and the sacrifices they have made. Opening the service, the Rev John Bannister, Rector of Whitehaven, said: “On this day we come to worship God and to give thanks for all veterans who have served their country in times of war. For the achievements and contribution they have made and continue to make to society.
