Mum, 30, found dead

A FUNERAL service for former Whitehaven woman Kay Thornton, pictured, was held at Saltwell Park crematorium, Gateshead on Tuesday.
Miss Thornton, 30, was found dead at home, Carhill Road, Gateshead on the evening of Saturday, August 18.
Formerly a hairdresser of The Close, Bransty, Miss Thornton lived at Workington before moving to the north-east some years ago. She leaves a daughter, Kirbie Leigh, and parents, Pam and John.
The Gateshead coroner was informed but police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
