Frozen walker inquest

AN inquest today will be held into the mystery of how a fellwalker was found frozen in ice near Eskdale last November.

The inquest at Whitehaven is into the death of 66-year-old Christopher John Dagleish, from Harrow, London.

Mr Dagleish had been missing since November 22.

He was on a walking break in the Lake District and was reported missing when he failed to return to his hotel after a day’s hiking.

Farmer Tony Temple came across the body of the hiker entombed in ice on upper Mosedale.
