Patients given a festive pampering

PATIENTS at West Cumberland Hospital’s Jenkin Ward received some Christmas pampering thanks to a local hairdresser.
Samantha Corkhill, of Bazaar Hair Company, who gave her time for free, spent several hours cutting, trimming and styling.
She also brought along her mum who had made mince pies and served cups of tea to those on the ward.
The event, organised by Sue Adams, a sister on Jenkin Ward, was a relaxing way to mark the festive season. While the carols played, many patients enjoyed the pampering and then relaxed while watching others have their hair done.
