A barage would not only provide lots of electricity, shorten the tortuous road and rail routes to the south and provide a potential home for the spoil excavated from any underground nuclear repository but also transform the economics of Millom and south Copeland in general.
Nuclear power never has and never will be commercial. It only exists because Governments decided they needed Nuclear Weapons. If all that money had been poured into research on alternative green sources of energy we'd be laughing now. there's no gonhg back.

Yes Monty if all that money had been poured into alternative green sources then they would of wasted a massive amount of money on wind turbines that are useless. I suggest you look at the French nuclear program. They are doing quite well at making nuclear commercial. You dream of something that will not happen... if you use electricity accept that you must gather that energy from somewhere and green options are not reliable enough.
