New poetry club
AGE UK will be starting up a poetry club at Egremont library on August 7 from 10.30 am to noon.
The group invites people to write or share a favourite poem at its new informal monthly poetry club which will be held the first Tuesday of every month. For more information contact Egremont library on 01946 820464.
Cabin break-in
WHITEHAVEN police officers are investigating a town centre theft.
A portable cabin was broken into on Fox Lane, close to the Wilkinson store, overnight on July 18/19. A microwave and other items were stolen.
