Man’s teeth knocked out
A MAN had his front teeth knocked out in an unprovoked attack in Gosforth.
The man in his 40s was punched outside the Lion and Lamb pub between 11.15pm and 12.30am on Monday night. As well as the damage to his teeth, the victim suffered cuts to his lips and eye.
Resisting officer
AFTER admitting resisting a police officer a Whitehaven man has been given a six-month community order.
Simon Paul Atkinson, 32, of Meadow Road, also admitted failing to comply with a direction given by a police officer to leave a locality.
Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse fined him £85 and ordered him to receive treatment for alcohol dependency.
No insurance
A MIREHOUSE man has been fined £600.
Lee John Coan, 31, of Copeland Avenue, used a vehicle without insurance and failed to produce a test certificate.
The case was proved in his absence at West Cumbria Court house and he was also fined £85 with £15 victim surcharge.
Driver fined
A WHITEHAVEN man has been fined a total of £940 following motor offences.
Kristopher David Coward, 30, of Jubilee Road, admitted careless driving, using a vehicle without insurance and failing to report an accident. Magistrates also ordered him to pay £50 costs with £15 victim surcharge.
Allotment attack
AN allotment site in Whitehaven has been targeted by vandals. Plots at Cartgate, Hensingham, had shed doors damaged and windows smashed overnight on June 2/3.
