Talented Emily wows punters

NEVER mind X-Factor, Bill and Wendy Felstead, mine hosts at the Ewe & Lamb at Padstow are thrilled to have made their own singing talent discovery in the form of 14-year-old Emily Reah, who wowed their customers at a recent open mic event at the pub.

Emily, who comes from Carlisle, got such a good reception she has agreed to return to the Ewe & Lamb on Saturday night, accompanied by her parents, for her very first gig.

Bill said: “Our idea of starting the open mic events was to help support and promote local talent and Emily is the proof this works. Emily is a singer/guitarist in the modern style. We really have found a gem here.’’

Glasgow-born Emily attends Trinity School where her favourite subjects are music and art. She spends her spare time listening to and playing music.

The pub’s open mic nights are held on the last Wednesday of each month and have been going for around 12 months.
