A MOTORIST who travelled at 103mph along the Distington by-pass has been told he needs to appear before Whitehaven magistrates for sentencing.
In a letter to the court, Joseph Topliss, 58, of Newtown, Frizington, admitted speeding in a BMW along the A595 exceeding the 70mph limit.
However, magistrates adjourned the case for the defendant to attend court on May 13.
