Moor Row Olympics

PUPILS from Moor Row School took part in a mini Olympics opened by local torch runner, Jocelyn Lace.

The youngsters received medals and shields – sponsored by Alwel Glass – after taking part in events such as sprinting, javelin and cross country.

It was the last sports day for headteacher, Amy Bates, who is leaving the school after five years, to take up a new headship at Barrow.

She said: “I’ve loved it here at Moor Row and this was a fantastic last sports day!”
