A DANCE fitness company which has taken Cumbria by storm has entered this year’s CN Group Business Awards.
Moky Ltd will battle it out in the Small Business of the Year category to be named among one of the county’s finest at the prestigious awards.
The company, based at Wilton, has gone from two to 20 employees since it was established in 2010. It provides Moky Fit adult dance workout sessions and entertainment along with Mokykidz classes and parties for youngsters aged three to 12.
Shameem Arnold, director of Moky Ltd, said the business went from having two classes in 2010 to now running over 50 classes all over Cumbria and three other counties.
She said: “Our aim is to make exercise fun and accessible and to motivate people to take regular exercise and get fit.
“The classes are carried out using fun pop music with in-house choreographed routines which are designed to give an all-over body workout while still being fun.
“Our instructors have an intensive training programme to make sure that they know how to deliver the classes in a way which relaxes customers and gives them a great experience not just a fitness class.”
The team has also produced a DVD for people who want to exercise at home as well as classes.
