Mitie Group Sellafield jobs under threat

JOBS are under threat at Sellafield in a company which recently won a £200 million contract on the nuclear site.

Have your say

John the term contractor should tell you they're NOT in charge of the sites security. Cofactors employ local people so regardless of who it is, it's still local jobs being lost! As for pen pushers, they're needed to try and work out how to operate the site, which keeps jobs! A lot of biter people comment negatively about the site, but they love the good wage they take home each month!

Why should Mitie be in charge of site security, should this not be the responsibility of UKAEA police, what are they employed for ?

Mitie the great!!

I really do hope one day the people making these decisions affecting peoples lives one day face redundancy themselves, and realise just what it is like to have people playing god with your home and family life.

I and the rest of my colleagues were recently made redundant , I can honestly say the lack of moral support and guidance from mitie was non existant and they kept us hanging until 3 weeks prior.

I dread to think what will become of Sellafield if left in the hands that it is now with the people running the contract for them.

no need to panic.the redundancies will equate to around 34 overpaid management pen pushers whose departure will not be noticable.so maybe thier wages could go towards paying the real workforce a decent wage.
