Millom man hid gravy tin with drugs in it down trousers

A man hid a gravy granule tin with drugs in down his trousers.
When Jamie Harvey was searched by police they found the tin, which contained seven bags of cannabis.
He also had 16 bags of white powder, which was another Class B drug known as MMC, that has an effect similar to amphetamine.
The 24-year-old, of Surrey Street, Millom, appeared for sentencing at Preston Crown Court.
He had earlier admitted offences of possessing cannabis with intent to supply, possessing MMC with intent to supply and also supplying cannabis.
Jon Close, prosecuting, told how police on mobile patrol saw a vehicle in Blackstone Road on February 16 and stopped it.Harvey, a passenger in the car, tried to leave but was stopped and the drugs were discovered.
He was given eight months’ prison for the drug offences, plus one month for breaching a community order at Preston Court.
