Man seriously injured after roof fall

A man was seriously hurt after falling through a cow shed roof.
The man, thought to be aged in his forties and from Penrith, suffered multiple injuries to his head, back and leg in the accident, which happened at 4.35pm yesterday at Little Strickland.
The Pride of Cumbria air ambulance airlifted the man to a specialist unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
He was said to be stable on arrival at hospital.
