FOOTIE-mad kids are being offered the chance to learn from one of sport’s most experienced coaches.
Former Liverpool FC youth and reserve team coach, Hugh McAuley, will run one of his popular camps at Whitehaven Amateurs Football Club from August 6-8. Each camp, aimed at girls and boys, will include a broad range of activities designed to help young people to learn and develop new skills and techniques in a fun, inclusive and rewarding atmosphere.
Participants will face a series of challenging and enjoyable skill sessions, small sided games, and tournaments with potential for Premiership Club trials.
Hugh said: “We are delighted to be invited back to the club.
“Last year’s camp was a huge success and it would be great to see some familiar faces as well as welcoming some new combers to develop their skills and ultimately discover the enjoyment of football.
“Children looking to attend can be part of a team, or perhaps have an interest in football and just want to learn some professional skills.’’
Hugh’s team of coaches are all FA certified and have a wealth of coaching experience at premiership club level, and a proven track record of developing young players at all levels. Hugh has coached professional players throughout the country from lower league through to Premiership standard.
